A couple of neat Halloween ideas you can create at home

Here are a couple of neat Halloween ideas I stumbled upon during an expedition through cyberspace and then decided to share. They’re simple and, I think, effective. The rocket pack idea was from doodlecraft.blogspot.ca.

If you have a great idea for a child’s Halloween costume or a simple Halloween decoration please me send a photo of it to The Current by October 25 and I’ll put them on to share with the community. Your submission should include your name, a short description of how you made it. If it’s a costume please include a photo of your child wearing the outfit. Please send you submission to editor@revelstokecurrent.com.

This is a really neat idea for the recycling-minded mom and dad. Take a couple of big, empty pop bottles, attach some shoulder straps, paint the bottles silver, create some 'flaming exhaust' from paper or cloth, insert them in the mouths of the bottles and — Voila! — you have instant jet pack!

If you'd like to really decorate your house for Halloween but don't want to splurge on plastic decorations here's an effective alternative: create Halloween cutouts and tape them to you windows.
