If your children were born in 2005 they are now eligible for Kindergarten and that, depending upon what the School Board decides in April, could be for a full-day this coming September.
The SD 19 Board of Trustees is to decide in April whether to proceed with full-day Kindergarten this year or in September 2011.
“This decision will be based on a number of factors including Ministry of Education funded spaces and the overall School District budget,” the district said in a statement. “If School District 19 proceeds with full day Kindergarten, there will be no half-day option. As a parent of School District 19, we value your input, so please speak to your school principal with questions or comments.”
