The new Cornucopia Festival wrapped up last weekend. Saturday’s Best of the Fest promised to be pretty good, but cool, breezy and overcast weather helped keep attendance low.
Beyond that the events that were on offer — including a Zucchini Car Race, A Taste of Revelstoke, Best of BC Beer Tasting — turned out pretty well and were enjoyed by everyone who participated.
It will be interesting to see how next year’s Cornucopia is organized. In the meantime here are some photos from Saturday’s events:
Here’s something you don’t see every day — an adult turkey! This big bird was a source of fascination for many young kids ay Grizzly Plaza on Saturday. David F. Rooney photo The Volunteers Fair also saw formal recognition for some of the community’s outstanding volunteers. They include (in no particular order): George Winningder, Cindy White, Taryn Walker, BR Whalen, Ken Nelles, Peter Zmaef (not present for the award ceremony), Bridget Daugherty, Jody Lownds, Jennifer Greenwood, Sarah Newton, Melissa Hemphill, Roland Bell, Erin Wilkins, Cindy Pearce, Joel Olson, Greg walker (not present), Dean Prunkle, Fran Prunkle, Geoff Battersby Bill Shuttleworth and Tuulikki Tennant.
