In Pictures: A peek inside the Hunts’ House of Love

The Habitat for Humanity/Revelstoke Community Housing Society project to rebuild Pauline and Simon Hunt’s home on Sixth Street East is rapidly coming to a close.
Oh, there’s a lot still to do but with the roof now in place and the internal walls going up you can see that it will almost certainly meet its November construction deadline.
“This is an important moment,” said project coordinator Cindy Pearce.
Local volunteers like Geoff Battersby, Mas Matsushita, Lee Collins, Jono Hunt, Dean Prunkle and his mom, Fran, have been bolstered by Habitat volunteers from Kelowna like Ed McLean, Harri Hunschler, Jerry Heickel and Marty Scherpenzeel and their hard work is bearing fruit.
“We are still seeking funds to fully complete the project this year,” Cindy said later. “Financial donations are still welcomed for this project to ensure it can be fully completed this year. People can sign up to volunteer, or make a financial donation via the project website at homeforthehunts.com.”
