The Revelstoke Seniors Centre is hosting a garage and bake sale on Saturday to support a very worthy cause — the Volunteer Medical Transportation Program.
“All the funds raised will go towards the Volunteer Medical Transportation Program to help pay our volunteer drivers for their fuel and meal expenses,” says Jean Pedersen, the centre’s volunteer coordinator.
She said there will be plenty of household goods, fabric, furniture and other items on sale and if you’d like to donate something to the sale the seniors will be happy to sell it. You can drop off your items at the centre or you can arrange for them to be picked up between 9 am and noon September 25 – 27 by calling 250-837-9456.
The Volunteer Medical Transportation Program sees volunteers driving people to out-of-town medical appointments.
