A single-vehicle accident in Glacier National Park on Friday afternoon sent a Calgary man to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops where he remains in stable condition.
A statement from Cpl. Thomas Blakney of the Revelstoke RCMP detachment said the 23-year-old driver of an east-bound 2007 Ford Ranger lost control during a heavy downpour in the park at about 3:30 pm.
He crossed the westbound lane and rolled down a steep embankment about 50 kilometres east of town.
“The passenger received only minor injuries while the driver was transported by air ambulance to the hospital in Kamloops where in remains in stable condition,” Blakney said in the statement.
