Work on the Court House dome proceeds 2013-06-12The Provincial Court House dome is surrounded by scaffolding used by workers from Mid-City, the contractor tasked by City Hall with repairing leaks in the roof. Mid-City’s bid $200,245 for the job and is supposed to be done by June 15. The Revelstoke Heritage Commission was part of the early discussion for repair and color selection. At that time copper was the preferred option for the roof and dome repair. However, due to budget constraints the Kemper cold process, liquid applied waterproofing membrane was selected by Council. The color cool mint was selected which resembles the copper patina. Warranty on the Kemper product is 20 years, with a life expectancy of 35+ years. David F. Rooney photo
