Heroes, villains, something for everyone at the jam-packed skating carnival
By Laura Stovel
More than 500 people filled the bleachers at the arena Thursday to watch the Revelstoke Skating Club’s carnival show: Heroes vs. Villains.
The show featured four children’s stories: 101 Dalmations; Snow White and the Nine Dwarfs; Smurfs and Gargamel; and the Wizard of Oz. For some, the superheroes were the best. Others preferred the villains. And some, like ESL student Angela Li who was watching skating live for the first time, thought the little dalmatians were the cutest. You’ll have to judge for yourself.
Have a look:
For some, watching the little dalmatians, guided by Krystal Kinoshita and Makenna Howe, was the best part of the show. Laura Stovel photoJacqueline Cottingham skates a sinister Cruella de Vil in 101 Dalmations. Laura Stovel photo
