The Revelstoke Ski Club is partnering with Revelstoke Mountain Resort to host a delicious selection of BC wines through its First Annual Snowflake Wine Festival on Nov. 21.
“Rotary has had a wine festival in the past but they weren’t going to do it this year so we decided to push ahead with our own plans,” says Tracy Edwards, the club’s fundraising chairwoman.
“This will be a very exciting event and RMR has been just great.”
Among the wineries that will be offering up their wares this year are: Larch Hills, Desert Hills, Twisted Tree, Mt. Boucherie, Therapy Vineyards, Misconduct Wine Company, Blasted Church, Sonoran Estate Winery, Kalala Organic Estate, Summerhill, Thornhaven and 8th Generation.
Mount Begbie Brewery will also be on hand to serve up their thirst-quenching golden product and the hors d’oevres will be prepared by the Modern Bakery and Cafe. Edwards also said there would be live music.
And all of this will be in the elegant and comfortable surroundings of RMR’s Nelsen Lodge.
The event runs from 7 pm until 1 am and a designated driver service will be available to assist those who need to get home but don’t think they should drive. If you are attending and would like an alternative to the drive home you should consider booking a gorgeous furnished suite at the lodge. If you’d like to do that please call 250-814-5000.
Tickets include two tasting tickets. They are available at Castle Joe Books, Selkirk Dental Clinic and Skookum Cycle & Ski.
