RE: Early French Immersion in Revelstoke
The development of an Early French Immersion program provides tremendous opportunities for a community and its residents.
Increasing a child’s knowledge and understanding of other languages and cultures is always beneficial. I know that my own community of Golden has benefitted from our French Immersion program including the fact that it is no longer unusual for French to be spoken on the soccer field, at the playground and at the grocery store.
I understand that the decision lies solely with the Revelstoke school board, and that these decisions on programming are always complicated.
I appreciate the opportunity to share my thoughts on and my experiences with French Immersion with you.
