Remembrance Day provides each of us with an opportunity to come together as a community to remember those who fought for us and for our freedom and to honour the members of our armed forces who are fighting now.
In communities across this country, Canadians will gather to say Thank You to those who sacrificed to protect the Canadian way of life.
They fought to retain our democratic system. They fought for our right to speak freely. They fought for the rights of generations to come.
We share a commitment to all of the veterans who gave so much to make Canada the wonderful place it is. Each one of us must dedicate ourselves to keeping the faith with our veterans and with their memories.
