Saelin Cadieux of Mountain View Elementary school and Sammy LeRose of Mount Begbie Elementary School were this year's Fire Chief for a Day Winners. Saelin and Sammy's Home Escapee Plans, illustrating their knowledge and understanding of measures to be taken in the event of a home evacuation, were chosen from among 65 submissions. Saelin and Sammy were picked up at school on Wednesday in Revelstoke Fire Services Engine No. 1 and spent the afternoon as the City's Fire Chiefs. Chiefs Cadieux and LeRose received a tour of the fire hall, enjoyed fire truck rides, received prize packages and participated in fire department activities.
