Stoke Youth Network launches new website 2013-01-17 The Stoke Youth Network launched its new website aimed at local youths on Thursday as “a place where youth and young people can find out what’s happening!” A statement from Youth Coordinator Megan Shandro said there is a link to the community events calendar, but youth-specific opportunities and youth-friendly community events will be highlighted separately. “Also the website has a place for people to submit opportunities they would like to promote amongst the youth community,” she said. Aside from posting events and opportunities, the website will also have a link to the newly created Youth Survival Guide. The guide was also created as part of the youth initiative, with information on everything from where to go to get your driver’s license, to where to find help in a crisis situation, to what there is to do for fun in Revelstoke. This new guide serves as a local directory for youth and young people in the community, sitting alongside the Children’s Service Directory and the Seniors’ Directory. The website is located at http://stokeyouthnetwork.ca/. Revelstoke Current screenshot
