It has had its ups and downs but this year’s Timber Days logging sports festival was well attended by spectators and competitors.
“This was an outstanding year,” said Cindy Pearce, one of the event’s organizers. “There was a lot of heart-warming sportsmanship among the competitors and a great crowd. I’d also like to thank all the tremendous volunteers we had.”
About 400 people attended the event this year and first-time competitors here were greatly impressed by Revelstoke and its people.
“This has been great,” said New Zealand logger Chris Harris. “I have really enjoyed it. I’d love to compete here again.”
