The North Columbia Environmental Society has scheduled Saturday, September 29, as the date for its third annual Harvest Palooza Festival celebrating local food and culture.
“This year we’ll have the same great local foods potluck including wild foods,” NCES Coordinator Hailey Ross said in an e-mail to The Current on Friday.
She said entertainment at this popular and very family-friendly event, to be held at the United Church from 11 am until 2 pm, will be provided by Denis Severino and Jacob Verburg.
As usual there will be a Seed Exhange (So please bring seeds from you favourite plants!), a GIANT Vegetable Contest, the ever-delicious Pie Contest, children’s art and lots more.
As well, she said there would be plenty of prizes to be won.
Harvest Palooza is free for NCES members, folks with a potluck item and folks with a donation for the Food Bank. For all others, we suggest a donation of $10.
