Long-service Auxiliary Constables earn some well-earned appreciation 2009-10-06long-service Revelstoke Auxiliary Constables Paul Carter (second from the left), Joe Marcoffio and Eric Scarcella and retired Auxiliary Troy Tompkins (second from the right) received some well-deserved awards on Tuesday from RCMP Sgt. Art Kleinsmith and Const. Garry McLaughlin who works closely with the volunteers. Carter, Marcoffio and Scarcella received Certificates of Appreciation and five-year service pins for having served more than five years with the Force. Tompkins has retired and received a retirement badge. Kleinsmith congratulated them on behalf of detachment commander Staff-Sgt. Jackie Olson. McLaughlin noted that the regular force members they work with deeply appreciate them. "There is nobody in this detachment who doesn't value what you do for us," he said. The same could probably said by most people in town. Congratulations. The detachment is currently seeking more Auxiliary Constables. For more about the program call 250-837-5255. David F. Rooney photo
