The Revelstoke Grizzlies owners and managers are holding a town hall-style meeting at the Community Centre next week to discuss “the current status of the team” and to answer questions from the public.
The meeting is to be held on August 23 from 7 pm until 8 pm.
“With President Lewis Hendrickson confirming that the team would remain locally in Revelstoke in May 2012 under his direction… Head Coach/GM Kevin Kraus and volunteer Assistant Coach Darren Komanoski all in place, the pieces are set for a banner year,” Steve Smith, the team’s volunteer marketer, said in a statement.
“Players are eager to come to Revelstoke to play and with a wealth of local talent available this year’s edition of the Grizzlies is ready to roar into the Forum and impress! We’ve changed our logos and jerseys and have a fresh, classic look. “
The team, which is also holding its hockey camp August 18-19 for an expected 45 to 50 players, is also hoping to attract local volunteers.
As well, if the team can sell 200 season passes by September 30 several business will offer “sizeable prize packages to one or two lucky season pass holders”, Smith said in the statement.
