Music, art, light refreshments and the presentation of an award recognizing the most family-friendly business in town will mark the signing of the historic Revelstoke Children’s Charter at RSS late Thursday afternoon.
The Children’s Charter has been developed to raise awareness and understanding of the roles people play in striving for the best outcomes for all children. The charter recognizes that everyone in a community can work together to become champions for children’s rights, raise awareness of the value of children and take action to ensure the best quality of life for each child in our community.
Child care will be available from 7 until 8:30 for parents interested in staying for a presentation on how Revelstokians work together to support children.
