Betty Olson passed away at the Hillside Village Care Center in Salmon Arm, B.C. on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the age of 88 years. There will be no formal funeral service by Betty’s own request. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Society of B.C., Suite 300, 828 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C. V5Z 1E2, in memory of Betty.
Betty was born in Hanna, Alberta on September 25, 1923 and had been a resident of Revelstoke for many years. She loved knitting, curling and bowling. Curling was such a passion for Betty that she enjoyed watching it on television almost as much as she did participating.
Betty was predeceased by her parents and one brother Bill. She is survived by her devoted husband of 61½ years, Mickey of Revelstoke; step-daughter Anita (Ken) West of Kamloops; three grandchildren: Ron (Carol), Debbie, Melinda (Dave); five great grandchildren: five great great grandchildren; sister Isabel Pallister of Revelstoke; nephews Jim (Carol) Pallister and Allan Pallister, both of Vancouver.

Cremation arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
