Morgan Tegart of Mountain View Elementary school and Nicole Harrison of Mount Begbie Elementary School were this year's Fire Chief for a Day Winners. Morgan’s and Nicole’s fire safety posters, illustrating their knowledge and understanding of fire safety, were chosen from among 112 submissions. Morgan and Nicole were picked up at school on Wednesday, November 2 in Fire Engine No. 1 and spent the afternoon as the City's Fire Chiefs. Fire Chiefs Tegart and Harrison received a tour of the fire hall, fire truck rides, prize packages and participated in fire department activities. The two young Fire Chiefs were then treated to a pizza lunch with Fire Chief Rob Girard (show here with his young proteges) and Career Firefighters.
