Community Gardeners and other like-minded Revelstoke residents gathered at the United Church on Saturday for their second annual Harvest Palooza, celebrating the end of the growing season.
Most, if not all, of the crops in the garden have already been gathered but some hardy vegetables still remain. But it’s been a pretty good season for growing vegetables. Besides their personal bounty, the gardeners donated 200 lbs of vegetables to the Food Bank. That was certainly deemed something worth celebrating, so they did with music by Doris Falken and Dennis Severino and a pot luck spread that included moose lasagne, bean salad, and fantastic desserts.
