Donna Kay Krukoff died suddenly at her residence in Revelstoke on Wednesday, August 10th, 2011 at the age of 60 years. A Funeral Service was held at the Revelstoke United Church on Tuesday morning, August 16th with Mr. Gary Sulz officiating. Pallbearers were Allan Krukoff, Ron Tisdale, Kelly Firomski, Jeff Krukoff, Todd Arthurs & James MacDonald. Interment followed in the family plot of Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice, in memory of Donna.
Donna was born in Canora, Saskatchewan on October 15, 1950 and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1979. She was always pleasant and happy and really loved her work at the A & W. Donna was a great supporter of the Relay for Life every year. She also supported children through World Vision. Donna also enjoyed bowling and was a wonderful caregiver. Family was very important to Donna and she loved spending time with them. Donna had many animals in her life and they were usually ones that had been abandoned or abused. She leaves behind her cats Mika, Lila and Chow Mein and her beloved dog Kia.
Donna was predeceased by her father Nick in 1985, mother Lena in 2005 and nephew Cameron in 1977. She is survived by her sister Irene (Mike) Firomski of Revelstoke; brother Allan (Cindy) Krukoff of Blind Bay, B.C.; niece Kim (Ron) Tisdale of Revelstoke; nephews: Kelly Firomski of Vancouver and Jeff Krukoff of Edmonton; two great nieces: Kari Tisdale and Christy Tisdale, both of Penticton as well as several cousins.
