BC Hydro has commissioned a study to determine recreational demand on the Arrow Lakes Reservoir.
According to a news release from the utility, the five-year study is to gather information on all types of recreation both on the water and recreational use of the reservoir shoreline through both face to face surveys with recreational reservoir users and online surveys.
The study is slated to begin this autumn and will be conducted by LEES and Associates. An online version of the survey will be available later this fall at www.arrow-lakes-survey.ca, the news release said.
“The purpose of the Recreation Demand Study is to determine whether there is a link between Arrow Lakes Reservoir levels and recreational demand and if so, to better understand how changes in Arrow Lakes Reservoir levels affect recreational use of the reservoir,” the news release said.
