Shirley Ann Edvardson passed away peacefully at her residence in Revelstoke on Monday, August 1st, 2011 just two weeks after her 60th birthday. There will be no funeral service by Shirley’s own request. Shirley’s cremated remains will be scattered at her favourite hiking spots as per her wishes.
Shirley was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on July 18, 1951, and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1982. She loved fishing, hiking and being in the outdoors. Shirley worked at Family Laundry for 17 years and most recently worked at the bakery in Coopers, enjoying both of her jobs. She lived a simple life and loved being with her family. Shirley would like to tell people: “if you can’t keep them laughing at least keep them smiling.”
Shirley is survived by her loving husband Leif of Revelstoke; son Eugene (Kitten) Pound of Fort McMurray, Alberta; two grandchildren: Avrey and Jordin, both of Fort McMurray; sister Joyce O’Donnell of Calgary as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
