The opening of the 24th Annual Revelstoke Glacier Challenge may have been marred by vandalism (Click here to read the story) but organizers rebounded swiftly and many ballplayers may have been unaware of the damage.
With 112 teams, Centennial Park swiftly filled up Friday for a long weekend of softball, beer, music and god-natured fun. The big in organizers’ minds was this: Would there be good weather?
Friday proved to be a little on the cool side but except for one brief shower earlier in the day the weather was not bad. Forecasts for Saturday and Sunday are for a mix of sun and cloud with temperatures in the mid-to-high 20s.
The Vancouver band Freeflow performed on Friday night and the other concerts scheduled for the weekend are a Saturday night performance by Redgy Blackout (Click here to visit their website and hear their music) and a Sunday concert by the Werewolves of Creston (Click here to visit their website and hear their music).
Wristbands for all events are available at Centennial Park.
