There were awards galore — including awards in every category to photographer Kip Wiley — at the juried show, The Human Face of Revelstoke, at the Visual Arts Centre on Friday.
Gold Awards went to: Tina Lindegaard for her whimsical painting, Purely Me; Ron Nixon for his touching coloured pencil drawing, Prisoners of Progress; and to Kip Wiley for his superb photographic portraits, Kay and Josee.
Silver Awards were presented to Krista Stovel for her photo transfer on wood, Waterboy; Kip Wiley for his portrait, Sharon; and to Diane Winningder for George and Attitude: Sandi Young.
Bronze Awards went to Eve Fisher for Citizen of the Years; Margo Goodman for Jeanette Bonthoux; Toni Johnston for Dad Laughing at his own Joke, Carmen Segger for Warped; and Kip Wiley for Nicola.
The Human Face of Revelstoke was one of three exhibitions that opened on Friday.
Nakusp painter Gillian redwood unveiled her solo show, Commotion, and the Golden Girls watercolour group displayed Peonies to Privies.
