Rotarians around the world spent Saturday working at various community or philanthropic projects to better the places they call home. Here in Revelstoke Rotarians banded together at the Equestrian Grounds area an area long-favoured by teens for parties.
“Just call us the hoods in the woods,” quipped long-time Rotarian Malcolm Bott as he heaved a pallet into the back of his pickup truck. “They’re gonna hate me for taking all their pallets.”
Besides pallets, which teenage party animals enjoy burning in bonfires, the Rotary cleanup crew found plenty of broken glass, metal debris and what not.
Well done, Rotarians, well done. If everyone in town pitched in we’d quickly have Revelstoke looking spic and span.
