Grade Five student wins Community Foundation’s logo contest
The Revelstoke Community Foundation has selected a student-designed logo for its new Environmental Fund that will support environmental initiatives in our community.
The logo was designed by Emma Otsig a student in Sarah Newton’s Grade 4/5 class at Mount Begbie Elementary School. Her design, which incorporates the planet, recycling symbols and raindrops, was selected from among more than 70 submissions from local school kids under age 13.
Miss Otsig was presented with a $75 VISA card, a Mad Gab game and a basket of Easter candy by Foundation Chairman Steven Hui on Wednesday.
