The North Columbia Environmental Society is offering a Downtown Garden Bounty and Design Tour” tonight (Wednesday, Aug. 26) at 7 p.m. as part of its lineup of Garden Guru events.
Tour participants are encouraged to ride their bikes to 204 Seventh Street East from whence they’ll embark on a tour of four remarkable backyard gardens.
Future events will include:
A Seed Saving Session sometime early next month;
A Composting and Soil Care Workshop on Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. Held at 204 Seventh Street East participants will learn why your “organic waste is valuable. And they will see how Rory Luxmoore transformed his backyard into a” hidden urban farm;” and
A Food Preservation and Idea Swap to be held sometime this fall.
