Aquaducks sweep up a bag of medals at the Provincials

The Revelstoke Aquaducks emerged from Provincial Championships in Abbotsford with a bag of medals that included four golds for Nadia Salon.

Salon won four gold medals in each of her individual events (50 Free, 100 Free, 50 Fly, 100 Fly) and three bronze in each of her three relays. Beth Granstrom won two bronze in her individual events (100 Free, 50 Free), Cynthia Pfeiffer won silver in the 100 Back and two bronze in her relays and Emily Pfeiffer won two bronze in her relay events. Christina Hui and Rosemary Kelsall each won a bronze in their relay events.

Almost all swimmers swam their fastest times ever, so it seems the coaches were able to get athletes to peak at the right time. It was a three day meet held at Centenial Pool in Abbotsford where the weather was a bit chilly in the mornings but warmed up to the low 20s for some reasonably warm afternoon races.
