If you’re in the market for bold, creative jewellery — perhaps even something custom designed to your exact specifications — you should drop by silversmith Suzanne Spisani’s brand-new studio and shop at Grizzly Plaza.
“I enjoy creating jewellery that is unique and personal,” she said in an interview on Saturday.
Spisani’s shop, which opened last Wednesday, features work produced at her own on-site studio as well as works by Chelsea Mainwaring of Bowen Island, Tanya Kemprud of Revelstoke, Gillian Hillerun of Calgary, Nicole Bigg of Nelson, Keri Woo of Canmore and Jesse Turner of Vancouver.
Spisani is easily one of the most creative metalworkers in Revelstoke and the offerings at her studio certainly reflect that reputation. Some of her work is very high prices but she also offers beautiful and moderately priced adornments as well.
“This is a pretty good selection of my design efforts,” she said .
Trained at Calgary’s famed Alberta College of Art and the Selkirk College of Art in Nelson, Spisani’s studio-cum-shop at 120 Mackenzie Avenue is closed on Sundays, open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Friday from 10-5, Thursdays from 3-7 and Saturdays from 10-6.
Her telephone number is 250-837-7968 and her website is at www.suzannespisani.com. In the meantime, here are a few photos…
