Wanna dance in the streets? Well, why not do just that next Saturday when the Columbia Basin Trust hosts a Cultural Night to show off some of the Best in the Basin.
“More than anything we want to celebrate with folks,” CBT spokeswoman Delphi Hoodicoff said in an interview.
Cultural Night is being held as part of the CBT’s three-day symposium, Shaping Our Future Together, at the Community Centre starting on Friday, October 22.
The free event, which runs from 7 until 9:30 pm downtown, will bring together musical performers and a native hoop dancer at Grizzly Plaza while a series of films produced in the Basin and a native storyteller will be at the United Church.
A statement from the CBT said that, as well, a self-guided tour has been designed to include an excursion of Revelstoke’s rich culture. “Comprising this tour are three wonderful museums, two visual arts venues and a common area to come together with your fellow cultural enthusiasts and dance in the street,” the statement said. “This event is intended to be all-inclusive, offering a little of everything.”

Museums and Art Galleries
7:00 pm – 9:00 pm — All museums and art galleries are open for tours and viewings free of charge, on a first-come-first-served capacity basis. Please customize your own schedule to best suit your personal interests.
