Revelstoke has many entrepreneurs and talented woman that have dedicated their time to not only give back to the community, but too building a strong economy by investing in themselves and their business.
The 7th annual Influential Women in Business Awards, 2018 will be coming up and Kootenay Business magazine is looking for nominations of powerhouse businesswomen in the southeastern area.
Over 75 nominations came in last year and three women from the East Kootenay and three from the West Kootenay Boundary were all individually showcased for their ability to stand out in their chosen field.
Revelstoke locals, Meghan Tabor from Tourism Revelstoke and Tara Sutherland from Real LePage Realty have been selected as nominees for the 2017 Influential Women in Business Awards.
The previous year, Revelstoke cleaned up with 11 powerhouse woman taking the frontline in the nominee list. Locals, Laura Bennetts, Amy Bohigian, Sahana Browning, Diane Bull, Krista Cadieux, Teresa Callaghan, Nicole Cherlet, Stephanie China, Amy Flexman, Arleigh Garratt, Kendra Powell, Goldie Sanghera and Sara Samson all made the list in 2016.
