Revelstoke turned out en masse for Canada’s 150th Birthday. A dense crowd turned out along First Street West and Mackenzie Avenue that was larger than any seen for a couple of years.
This year’s Canada Day Parade also honoured the Fire Rescue Service’s 125th anniversary by putting the service’s gleaming antique and modern machines at the head of the parade; normally they are the last machines in the march.
The end of the parade was a crowd of children on gaily decorated bicycles whooping and laughing as they headed to Queen Elizabeth ParkĀ for a taste of the community cake and a good time.
