To whom it may concern:
I am writing to you about the Bear problem arising in your city . I was born and raised in Revelstoke , so l am not new to wildlife in small communities. I now live in Port Coquitlam and yes , we all have our share of Bear encounters.
The City of Revelstoke should be doing their part in supplying bear-proof garbage cans around town. With Revelstoke being such a tourist destination bear-proof garbage cans should automatically be in place just like Port Coquitlam and other cities.
The interview l saw with CTV News with the garbage all over the sidewalk next to a can , that obviously needs some Bear proofing. Get with it and do your part, and don’t put the full blame on the residents .
The cities around here have also supplied bear-proof garbage cans for regular weekly curb pick up. Come on, get with the times !
