An industrial accident during logging operations near the Laforme Creek Bridge on Highway 23N has claimed the life of a 66-year-old local man.
The incident occurred approximately on Monday, July 27, when the man was struck and knocked unconscious by a log during operations. BC Ambulance Service, both a land crew and helicopter, were dispatched, however the male succumbed to his injuries.
The Work Safe BC Safety Officer and the BC Coroner Service are investigating.
The RCMP did not release the man’s name.
