I wonder if you could please confirm the following figures:
In 2013 the provincially managed sections of Highway 1 between Kamloops and the Alberta Border consisted of 186 km of 2-lane highway, 53 km of 3-lane highway and 100 km of 4-lane highway.
In the 12 years from 2001 to 2013 45 km was upgraded to 4 lanes — i.e. 3.75 km per annum
At that rate the remaining 2-lane sections of highway will be 4-laned by 2062, just in time to celebrate the centenary of the Trans-Canada.
