More than 100 art lovers turned out for the Revelstoke Art Gallery’s latest set of exhibitions on Friday, October 3. The shows include Kip Wiley’s photographs in Sense of Time, Jennefer Rogers Myriad-Myth Conceptions, Donna Naprstek’s Light and Shadow and Theresa Browning’s first-ever show, Only Natural.
The exhibitions are open to the public Tuesday through Saturday between noon and 4 pm at the gallery, which is located in the Visual Arts Centre at 320 Wilson Street right behind the Days Inn. They are on display until Friday, October 31.
They are well worth a visit. In the meantime here are a few images from the opening:
Young Cooper Hornung was enchanted by Jennefer Rogers’ Tree of Wonder. David F. Rooney photoMike Cummings examines one of Kip Wiley’s interesting 3-D photos of dead cedars. David F. A retired CPR employee Kip has for years worked diligently to produce excellent photographic artworks for sale and for exhibition. Among his accomplishments was an award from the Banff Mountain Photography competition in 2004. David F. Rooney photoTheresa Browning poses with her painting, Raven’s Flight. Only Natural is this RSS art teacher’s first-ever exhibition. Among the many works she is showing at the gallery are two large floral pieces that are particularly good. David F.
