100 years ago a public library would not have dreamed holding an event like Time for Slime. Nor would a library in the 1950s or ’60s. By the 1970s adventurous librarians might have thought of something like this but it took the 21st century to make the production of slime something you can actually expect from a public library.
And — Wow! — the kids in this year’s Summer Reading Club really went to town producing some really disgusting-looking but oh-so-fun slime. Take a look:
