What at first appeared to be a routine stop for speeding quickly became something else when the eastbound pickup truck stopped by local Mounties was found to be loaded with 110 pounds of marijuana worth about $200,000. The driver, a 38-year-old Albertan, has been charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking — and speeding. He’ll appear in Provincial Court in Revelstoke in November.
