Revelstoke Fire Rescue Services responded to a residential structure fire in the 1800 block of Illinisky Road in the Big Eddy on Thursday, July 10, at 2:08 am.
“On arrival fire department crews found the structure fully engulfed,” Assistant Chief Roger Echlin said in a statement. “Firefighters actioned the fire quickly bringing the blaze under control. The lone occupant of the structure escaped without injury.”
Revelstoke Fire Rescue Services responded with 23 members, 2 engines, a water tender, aerial apparatus and command vehicles.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
