Local resident Doug Mayer was upstairs on the Mezzanine of the Railway Museum when he spotted a dust storm whipped up by high winds on Thursday. Fortunately, Doug had his camera with him and sent this shot to The Revelstoke Current. An earlier version of this caption attributed the dust to the Westside Gravel Pit operated by Interoute. Cory Rakosh of Valley Blacktop, which oversees the pit, says the dust was not generated from the Interoute pit as all dust-control procedures were in place.
