Kids, adults join forces to uproot noxious alien invaders in the Greenbelt
About 50 people, including kids enrolled in the Friends of Mount Revelstoke & Glacier's Junior Naturalists program, Community Connections and the North Columbia Environmental Society formed an alliance Wednesday to beat back the alien invaders that had taken root in the Illecillewaet Greenbelt. They split their forces to tackle two distinct invaders. On the left you can see one group that was uprooting spotted knapweed.
