Christopher Stephen Wasney died suddenly at his residence in Revelstoke, B.C. on Thursday, May 20th, 2010 at the age of 58 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall on Thursday afternoon, May 27th at 2:00 p.m. with Gary Sulz officiating. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, 433 Hudson Avenue N.E., Salmon Arm, B.C. V1C 4S1, in memory of Chris.
Chris was born in Nelson, B.C., on August 14, 1951 and had been a resident of Revelstoke for the past 21 years. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, games of chance, mining (gold panning) and mushroom picking. Chris was a constant jokester who made everyone laugh. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Chris was predeceased by his parents and two sisters, Gloria and Theresa. He is survived by his wife Elaine of Revelstoke; two children: Candace Pollard of Midway and Shawn (Stephanie McKay) of Revelstoke; six grandchildren: Kelli, Dustin, Kyle, Doree, Alyssa and Tayven; sisters Alice Wasney of Collingwood, Ontario and Julie Cowley of Calgary; brother Cliff (Norma) Wasney of Lumby as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
