Field Work Continues For Bruhn Bridge

The RW Bruhn Bridge is one we all cross on a regular basis when we leave Revelstoke. While it is not inside our city limits, it is a bridge that may concern those that have family on the other side of it, or those just heading to Salmon Arm or Vernon for an escape day. Any way you slice it, if your headed out of town using the Trans-Canada, you are going through Sicamous (Unless your going to Golden!).

This bridge is apart of the $464 Million, four-lining project from Kamloops to the Alberta border and is scheduled for replacement, but what exactly? That is still not determined.

In February of this year, there was an open house to listen to feedback from the community affected by the bridge, and the feedback was published on The Current on April 9th.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has resumed site work to evaluate the options for improvement. Motorists may see activity along the highway right-of-way and the work is not expected to delay traffic. This is in continuation of the initial field work that began for the selected area last fall.
