BC Ambulance Service, Revelstoke Search and Rescue and the local RCMP detachment responded to a two vehicle collision involving two snowmobiles on Boulder Mountain.
According to the release from Cpl Thomas Blakney, one sledder was descending down Boulder Mountain when the other sled crossed in front and the two sleds collided. One sledder was left injured while the other individual involved in the incident died at the scene of the crash.
Both the adult male sledders are from Alberta visiting and no drugs or alcohol appear to be a factor in this tragedy.
No further details have been reported until next of kin have been notified.
