A Minor Hockey banquet will take place Sunday evening in Invermere for the six teams that made it to the final round.
The six teams are Vanderhoef, Revelstoke, Invermere/Windermere, Vancouver, Kimberley and Fort. Nelson.
Revelstoke Of Hockey President, Dennis Berarducci presented Coach Andre Cadieux with a cheque for $1000 to put towards team lunches, dinners, gas and accommodations to help those families that will be out of town for the week.
“We are incredibly proud of what they (Minor hockey) have accomplished this year and if this money helps families enjoy their week and take some burden off of the wallet, then we at the History of Hockey are happy to help out.”
There will be five games round robin style throughout the week with closing ceremonies on Friday, March 23rd.
