Kevin Blakely 40th Year Working For the Golden Arches

By Kale Blakely,

The very first McDonald’s in Canada opened its doors in 1967, completely unaware of one incredible individual that would be choosing the golden arches as their first job, just 11 years later. His starting rate was $2.60 per hour and soon enough he would work his way up the ranks, work at head office in Edmonton Alberta and one day, make the move to BC to own his own McDonald’s right here in Revelstoke.

Congratulations to Kevin Blakely on his 40-year anniversary with the corporation.  Being the one and only job Kevin has ever had, truly displays his passion for the business and the loyalty he has for the fast food joint.

Excelling in customer service and obtaining countless amounts of awards and plaques, the man himself is an unbelievable business man and a friendly resident in this small town.  Phenomenal job on the first 40 years Kevin! Here’s to the next 40!
