Figure Skating Carnival Was A Great Success!

Every year the Revelstoke Figure Skating Club put on their year end finale that is nothing short of a brilliant extravaganza.

The show clearly is treated with the utmost respect and dignity of any main-stage show or performance from a professional group. While these young aspiring skaters are practicing and honing their craft, this show is a good example of when the lights are on and the curtain is up, the show must go on.

Many of these skaters have been working at this for several years now and for those that have taken the time to see the year end showcase or see their progression throughout the year, know that these kids really do have a special talent and work hard for that talent.

All of the skaters were clearly dedicated to their passion, and two skaters in particular have excelled over the course of the year. Both Jaimie Reynolds and Samantha Veninsky had charming performances and no doubt will continue their journey of success all the while paving a way for the younger skaters to follow suit.

The overall concept or set was a delight. It is no small task to put on a stage show and that is exactly what this was. A lot of sweat equity went into the construction of the set pieces and that needs to be recognized.

Kudos to the volunteer parents, the sponsors and of course, the ever so talented youngsters!
