An older man is living at a retirement community called 911 on his cellphone his kids gave him for emergencies. He reported that his car has been broken into. He is hysterical as he explains his situation to the dispatcher: “They’ve stolen the stereo, the steering wheel, the brake pedal and even the accelerator!” the old man cried.
“Stay calm. An officer is on the way.” claimed the dispatcher.
The RCMP are well on their way when the 911 dispatcher chimes into the patrol unit.
“Disregard.”
The police officer asks the dispatcher “Did the other unit arrive already?”
The dispatcher said without a beat, “Nope. He got in the back-seat by mistake.”
